- Instead of a choker, try adorning your neck with a brightly patterned silk scarf, knotted at the front and let the ends fly free.
- Tying a scarf on your purse is a fashion editor trick you can steal. It's a great way to update a purse, and add color to your basic outfits.
- Skip the store-bought headbands and fashion your own with a pretty scarf. Roll it into a cylinder, wrapping it around your head where a headband would go, and knot at the top of your head for a cute hairstyle.
- Add pizzazz to a floppy summer hat by tying a pretty silk scarf around it, and knotting it in a fluffy bow.
- The ponytail style is a simple but pretty way to transform your everyday hair look. We suggest using an oblong scarf for this look. Once you have your ponytail, fold your scarf in half length ways, and then fold it again. Gather the scarf in the middle and knot around your hair.
- How about looking like Grace Kelly? Take a square scarf (be sure and match your sunglasses) put it over your head so that it frames your face. Make sure both ends are equal lengths. Cross the two lengths in front under the chin, take it round to the back and tie a knot to secure.
-
The French knot is an elegant way to keep cool this summer. With a square scarf, fold into a triangle. Take the point of the triangle and fold it four times towards the widest edge. Put it over your shoulder and tie a knot about two-thirds of the way down or secure with a pretty brooch or clip.
- Fashion your favourite scarf into a sarong or beach cover up by simply tying it around your waist.
-
And finally, how about a twist on a belt? This is a creative way to lift your everyday t-shirt and jeans look. Simply fold a square scarf into a triangle and then fold again three times into a band. Thread through your belt loops and tie. Alternatively tie a smaller scarf around your belt loop for a quick belt look.
